Thought I would start early for Easter. Wasn't sure what to do, then I remembered I had some house mouse decoupage that I had never used because it was traditional decoupage and I had never got round to cutting it out. So.......for 2 nights I sat in front of the TV and cut them out, and really enjoyed it. So far I have made 2 into cards, hope you like them
The ramblings of a crafting Granny from the table in the corner of the room. Thanks for stopping by and having a look. I would love you to leave a comment so I can come and visit you.

Some recent makes
As part of the talkies group we have been having ATC swaps. For those that don't know these are Artist Trading Cards which are small cards 2.5" x 3.5" and the are mini works of art. You use them to showcase your artwork. Here are 3 I made recently. They are small decoupage pictures which I set on an inked background

New year's resolution
To start blogging at least once a week, if not more. Now Christmas is out of the way, finally getting used to being retired, my crafting life had once again started.
Last year "my thing" was decoupage, and although I still love it, my "new thing" is die cutting. Having finally succumbed to treating myself to an EBosser, my collection of dies has taken over my craft room. Spellbinders, Tonic and Tattered Lace, I can't get enough of them so I would like to share some of the cards I have made recently.

It has been so long
I can't believe it is nearly 2 years since I last posted but only excuse is that life got in the way. So much has happened in the last 2 years, my Son Roderick got married at the beginning of the year to lovely Nicola and the are now expecting their 1st baby. That will be grandchild number 3 for me, my other 2, Owen and Aidan are now 71/2 and 21/2 respectively. I also got made redundant 2 weeks ago and as I am now officially a pensioner, I have decided to retire, hence now having the time to start blogging again. Haven't really got into retirement mode yet as my brain still thinks I am just on holiday. Maybe now I will get time to craft and to catch up with everyone's blogs. I also have an actual craft room now so let the fun begin........

Pumpkins for Halloween
Well Jiggy has one ..........
Camera didn't seem to want to play nicely but I hope you can still see the 2 fab images on the card. 'Jiggy's Pumpkin' and 'Dusted Autumn Border' both of which you can find over at DragonLair designs. I just love Janette's dragons and this little cutey has found a lovely leaf to sit on with his glowing pumpkin lantern. I printed the border on a computer generated background and decoupaged the leaf then Jiggy on top, coloured with ProMarkers, with some bling added to his wings.
Remember there is still another week to join in the challenge over at the challenge blog.
Have a good weekend and Happy Crafting

Stamping Dragon Designs does it again.....
with some fantastic digi stamps just in time for Halloween, and you can't have halloween without pumpkins (and a cute owl)
Yoo Hoo is such a wee cutey and is getting in the mood for Halloween. I made an easel card ths week with some freebie papers I had in my stash and the image, which I decoupaged, is coloured with my trusty ProMarkers. The die cut behind the image is a spellbinders and the base card is HunkyDory. If you love this image as much as I do, you can see more of Janette's fabulous designs in the shop here.
And don't forget there is still time to join in the Stamping with the Dragon Challenge which finishes next Friday.
I am off to finish packing as I am heading off for a long weekend break with my Daughter-in -Law and Grandsons, so have a good weekend and happy crafting.
